Classes & Getting started
Do you offer trial sessions before joining?
Yes, we offer one free introductory taster session. This can be booked via our website or by contacting us at admin@p4gymnastics.co.uk
Do you accept beginners?
Absolutely. We pride ourselves on offering classes for all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced gymnasts. Please visit our schedule page for full details.
What ages do you offer classes for?
We offer Stay & Play session for children aged 4 and under, with structured classes available from age 3 through to out teenage programmes.
Can my child attend more than one session per week?
Yes, many of our recreational gymnasts attend multiple sessions each week. If your child is interested in additional classes, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
Attendance & Policies
What happens if my child misses a class?
We understand that illness or injury may occasionally prevent attendance. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds or make-up sessions for missed classes. If your child is likely to miss multiple sessions due to injury or illness, please contact us to discuss.
Do I need to give notice if I wish to leave the club?
Yes, we require a minimum of one calendar month notice if you wish to cancel your child’s place.
Fees & Payments
How do I pay for classes?
We ask all parents/carers to set up a monthly standing order. Fees should be paid by the 5th of each month.
Is there a joining fee?
Yes, we charge a one-time joining fee. This includes a welcome pack for you and your child to help get you started.
Clothing & Appearance
What should my child wear?
No specialist clothing is required to begin with. We recommend a t-short with shorts or leggings and bare feet. Once your child is settled, our club kit, including leotards, short, t-shirts and hoodies are available to purchase. Please note that denim, dresses and skirts are not permitted.
Do you have a club kit?
Yes, our club kit is available to view via the Club Shop page on our website. To place an order, please speak to your child’s coach.
How should my child wear their hair?
Hair should be securely tied back and kept out of the gymnasts face for safety.
Can my child wear jewellery?
No. For safety reasons, all jewellery must be removed in accordance with British Gymnastics regulations. If earrings cannot be removed, they must be covered with tape or plasters before arrival.
What to bring
Should my child bring anything to class?
Yes, all gymnastics should bring a drink to every session, preferably water. In line with British Gymnastics guidance, we encourage regular hydration breaks throughout each class.
Competitions & Events
Will my child have opportunities to take part in competitions?
All gymnasts are invited to participate in our in-house competitions and display events. We also offer external competition opportunities for selected classes. All events are optional.
Do you host events?
Yes, we regularly organise in-house competitions and display evenings for our gymnasts to showcase their progress.
Do you run holiday camps?
Yes, we run a variety of holiday activities, including workshops and full-day camps.
Do you host birthday parties?
Yes, we offer birthday party packages where children can enjoy the gym facilities with their friends. Please contact us for more information.
